While on mobile patrols just after 8.30pm last night (22 April), PCs Winyard and Crisp were leaving Bicker Bar Service Station in Bicker, near Boston, and crossed paths with a Bobcat utility vehicle. After a quick check it was discovered that the Bobcat was unregistered.
The owner has been reported for no insurance and the vehicle was seized under Section 165 of the Road Traffic Act.
Of the seizure, PC Winyard said: “Uninsured and unregistered vehicles put everyone at risk. If a collision happens, innocent people can be left injured, out of pocket, or facing long legal battles. Taking these vehicles off the road helps keep our roads safer, protects law abiding drivers from higher insurance costs, and ensures that those who choose to drive take responsibility for their actions. This is about fairness, safety, and protecting our community.”
